This very nice modern crucifix is in a pewter coloured hammered metal. I would say that this is CELTIC in design. It is very substantial in weight for its size which is just 6.00" high (155mm). It has a ring on the back so that it can be wall mounted. Extremely nice in any environment - home or Community. Heavy - nearly 200 grammes! Purchased in France very recently this is used but in excellent condition but is not quite a shiney as the photograph suggests, it is more of a matt finish.

Take into account that some of these items are very old and will have natural wear which shows this to be the case. Some materials and art genres wear better than others. I have been in the antiques and collectables business for many years and have learnt not to over clean as this eliminates proof of the natural ageing processes. What you see in the photographs is what you get - to the best of my photographic ability. Please ensure that method of payment is made known within 48 hours of auction end. The reason is simply that I spend time out of the country buying so I have to arrange to have cheques picked up and banked in my absence. If I know that they are on their way I will allow for the delay in payment and not hassle you with emails. Late payment ‘unpaid’ emails are sent automatically by ebay. If I feel that there is a problem, usually because there has been no communication, I will instigate an ‘unpaid dispute’. I accept PayPal, UK cheques or postal orders and cash on collection when pre arranged. PayPal e.cheques and UK bank cheques will incur a delay whilst funds clear. I will endeavor to Post within 24 hours when Post Office opening hours permit. If buying from overseas please allow for National Bank Holidays and disruptions to UK Postal system. Sending Airmail now carries a high risk of delay due to Airport closures for a variety of reasons. For the protection of UK buyers I would prefer to post Special Delivery Next Day Signed For to offer both buyer and seller protection should a claim arise. However as most buyers opt for straightforward 1st class or Parcel Post, I invoice those choices, as a matter of course, unless asked otherwise. If you wish to have the item(s) sent with added insurance please let me know. International buyers please be aware that I offer Airmail as standard or International Signed For or Air Sure (if applicable as some countries do not accept this carrier) unless advised otherwise. For items (combined or otherwise) over £50.00 (changes in compensation occur sometimes with Royal Mail price increases) I would advise that additional compensation be added. I am quite happy to quote revised postage costs before and after Auction end. Do not pay an invoice until you are happy with the postal service used and the figure quoted. You are able to change the p & p on your invoice once agreed by both. I cannot send a revised invoice. In the case of Buy Now, where instant payment is received , the cost of p & p will remain the same as shown on the invoice. I am cannot send packages weighing over 2kg overseas. Post and packaging costs are just that. I use good quality bubble wrap, bubble bags, sturdy new postal boxes and documents enclosed envelopes which contain a printed copy of the receipt so that the correct address is safely on display. For this I charge, but do not make a profit. Antiques and collectables deserve the best as they cannot be replaced! I am happy to combine postage and packaging on multiple purchases but please also take into account size and shape and material of separate items. For example I wouldn’t send a bronze statue with a Lalique vase! I don’t think that I have ever had to send a refund because of misleading information or dissatisfaction but in the unlikely event that this does occur: On your part you must inform me immediately the package has arrived and back up any damage claims with clear photographs of item and packages and retain the packaging as this will be needed in the event of a claim. Each carrier has their own claim process which usually has a time scale for ‘deemed to be lost’. In the event of Airmail loss at least 28 days must elapse before a claim can be initiated. On my part I keep proof of posting but this is not an insurance receipt this is purely to show ebay and PayPal and yourself that the item was sent when logged in your SALES RECORD. In the event that a dispute arises I will follow the guidelines of ebay which are quite explicit. In the unlikely event you are not entirely satisfied I will refund if proven to have mislead by inaccurate or overlooked details at the time of listing. It is very difficult to identify age or origin (and sometimes material) of antiques and collectables such as those that I list. All dates and origins are listed as a personal estimation which is based on many things. I only reply to emails sent through the ebay or PayPal messaging service so please do not communicate directly through my email address or telephone before an Auction end. I am happy to speak to buyers before purchases are made but do not ‘cold call’ as I may not get a message which will lead to frustration all round. Please note too that the address shown on communication is not the address at which the stock is stored. The billing address is my registered business address. Lastly – please don’t leave vindictive feedback – it is not nice and serves no purpose.
